So I've probably written three different entries since my last published one, but I either didn't finish them, or I thought they were boring. I've been working on writing a private journal lately. It's great and very therapeutic, but it's not the kind of stuff I would like to blast all over the internet, plus it's pretty boring to everyone but me :)
But I was thinking the other day and I don't think I ever wrote about our trip to Disneyland! We went back in November. Jeff was working in CA, so I flew down for Thanksgiving to visit him. We were able to go to Disneyland with free tickets from a family friend who works for Disney--such a blessing! I have never been to Disneyland and it was amazing! It was everything I had hoped for! We were also able to go to California Adventure. I bought Minnie Mouse ears too!
We went on a bunch of rides and didn't have to wait for very long either. Some of my favorites were Screamin' California (really fun rollercoaster), Soaring Over California, Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Buzz Lightyear. It was such a blast to go with Jeff, too. We just held hands and I sometimes skipped as we walked around the park. My heart felt so light! It was also really neat to see all the Christmas decorations up. They were so beautiful.
The crowning event of the day happened just before we decided to leave. I really wanted to go through the Haunted Mansion, but the wait was over an hour so we decided to ride Splash Mountain and then check back to see if the wait went down at the Mansion. Normally, I don't really like water rides, but I have been told that Splash Mountain is not really wet at all, so I was willing to give it a shot. I ended up being at the front of the log and Jeff was right behind me. Needless to say, we were a little top-heavy. We both got drenched! All I could do was keep looking back at Jeff while I was cracking up laughing. I was not happy about getting soaked, but what could I do? The best solution was to laugh. Jeff was laughing too--he was dumbfounded since he had never gotten that wet on that ride before. It was really funny! Since it was getting late and we were all wet, we decided to save Haunted Mansion for our next trip to Disneyland. It was such a fun memory that I will never forget. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to just go and enjoy the day together, especially after those three long months apart.
