Recurring dreams

Have you ever had a recurring dream?
The fact that my last post was about insomnia really has nothing to do with this post. I think I'm just really interested in why sleep is so important, what the benefits of good sleep are, and what is going on in the brain when a person sleeps.

I have a little collection of recurring scenes or scenarios that make up my dream life.

I still remember some of the nightmares that used to force me out of bed to wake my parents. I also remember a few nightmares that caused me to check under my bed, in my closet, and caused me to lock the door anytime I got in the shower.
Here's a rundown of recurring and cou cou events in my dreams/nightmares:

I have a lot of dreams where I am a passenger and the driver has asked me to drive while he/she runs off. I am then trying to drive a fast moving vehicle from the passenger seat--very stressful to say the least. I don't know why my dream self I can't seem to realize that I just need to jump in the driver's seat.

I remember dreaming, several times, that I was somewhere in public(mostly in school) and I have forgotten to wear a shirt. So embarrassing.

I once dreamt that I was driving through a tunnel, and I am met with an oncoming train. I died instantly. I saw my spirit leave my body and the view of earth from heaven.

I've had a dream where I was smoking a cigarette(something I have never done), and I could feel the smoke in my lungs while I was asleep.

Along with feeling in my sleep, I had a dream where I was pregnant(I was about 18), and I could feel warmth in my abdomen. I could feel that tiny life in my dream.

I think that dream analysis is very interesting. But sometimes my dreams are so involved and so stressful that I wake up more tired instead of refreshed.

Do you have recurring dreams? What's the most vivid dream you can remember?

When I am pregnant I always have dreams that my teeth are falling out. Weird.
