Hmm, what to blog about?

Today is the last Monday of the semester. This makes me happy. I am looking forward to a new semester.

I am also looking forward to sunny skies, sidewalks without sheets of ice on top, green foliage, budding blooms, sandals, skirts on top of bare legs, snowcones from snoasis, driving with the windows down, playing fetch with Dali at the park, light-jacket weather, bonfires, barbeques, stargazing, and anything other good thing that is associated with summer.

Along with that, I am looking forward to only teaching two sections of Foundations of Writing and Reasoning next semester. I have been teaching three sections for the last few months. It hasn't been bad, just a little tiring and a lot repetitive. Some people might say that I like the sound of my own voice, but not THAT much. It would be nice to teach more sections, but I am only allowed so many before the school HAS to give me benefits which they absolutely will not do. Oh well, I'll take what I can get. And another advantage of only teaching two sections is that I will have plenty of time for my grad coursework.

Anyway, as an update, we had a nice weekend. On Friday, we tried a new restaurant in Idaho Falls, called Lucy's Pizza. They advertise New York style pizza, so we had to try it out. I got Jeff hooked on Roma's when we visited PA last year. I think he's been craving it ever since. But who would have thought you could get NY pizza in Idaho of all places? It was no Roma, but it was yummy and foldable. We also took a little shopping trip where we purchased the Blindside. We rarely, rarely buy movies, but this one is an investment in many happy, uplifting times to come. To make the night even better, I bought a pair of sandals at Ross. I've had my eye on them for about a year and they usually retail at $80, but I got mine for $12.99!! Sometimes it really pays off to practice patience :)

Also, I have some photos coming your way. I just need to sit down and upload them for your viewing pleasure.

Happy Monday (even if it is snowing outside which it definitely is)!
