Pregnancy Brain

So Jeff and I googled this term today because I am convinced that I have it. I'm just worried about what else will be affected by my forgetfulness.

Here are a couple of examples to help you see what I mean:

After grocery shopping yesterday, I pulled out the chocolate covered pretzels, that I bought on a whim, to snack on during the drive home. We needed to make a quick stop on campus before we went home, so I left the pretzels on the dashboard in the sun. I came back to the car to find them melted. On the upside, they were still delicious.

After running a couple of errands and buying a new frame for our wall, I brought my purchases in and could not find my debit card. I looked around for it, double-checked my pockets, and even searched the car. About an hour later, Jeff picked my card off of the carpet and asked why it was on the floor. Beats me.

And last night, I was extremely thirsty, so I poured myself a tall glass of cold water. I had to move the new gallon of milk that I bought that day in order to reach the water pitcher. I lifted the gallon out and set it on the counter, and this morning, I woke up to find a warm, unopened gallon of milk still sitting on the counter.

It is incredibly frustrating to watch yourself to do nonsensical things. See what I mean when I say I am worried about the second half of my pregnancy?--and not because of the weight gain and achy body.
