Stoked!

Ahh so here I am again. I should be writing a paper, but it's just so hard to concentrate because I am SO excited for the next week!

I've been looking forward to this week for a LONG time. It seems like everyone, including my students, will be leaving tomorrow for the week-long Thanksgiving break. I really hope everyone who is traveling does so safely. You never know that you're going to get weather-wise in Idaho. I'm praying that my flight will be able to go out this week without a hitch.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend of catching up. I will be grading papers, cleaning, all the normal saturday stuff, AND setting up Christmas in our apartment! It's Swank tradition to put up Christmas on the day after Thanksgiving, but since I won't be around to do that on that day, I will just do it before hand so that when I return from my CA trip, it will feel like I have walked into a winter wonderland of Christmas merriment! Ah yes.

But before that happens, I will be soaking up the heat in CA with my sweet husband. I'm very much looking forward to this time together. We're planning to spend some time at his family's lake house. I've never been able to visit there before, so I'm excited to check it out and spend some time in the hot tub.

On top of that, we have a couple of hot dates planned. Dinner at a hip place in LA called, Mazza Pizzeria, HP7, and DISNEYLAND! And hopefully, we can get all of our Christmas shopping done while we're there. It's going to be so wonderful, plus a lot of turkey and mashed potatoes to look forward to.

I just wish we could bring Dali with us to party down in CA. Poor girl has to stay here in the cold ;)
