Who do you think you are?

Lately I've been thinking about the many roles that a person plays on any given day. I am looking out at my students as they work in groups. I look at them and see them working toward a common goal. I am grateful that I understand them, probably better than they think. I know that they have plenty of other responsibilites besides this class. I know that many of them are trying to figure out who they are. Many of them are in relationships or wish they were in one. Some are married. Some have things figured out. Some are lost. Some understand the material and will succeed in this class. Some do not. It's likely that most of them really don't care much either way.

This got me thinking of the roles that I play, the different masks that I wear. And this is where the list starts:

A BLONDE!

I'll post some photos soon. Also, it's sort of an inbetween stage where I have a ton of highlights. I'm going full-out blonde in July!

If you think I've lost my mind, let me just say: This is something that I have wanted to do for over a year. I decided that "going blonde" was something I wanted to do before I die. That being said, I think it's more appropriate to go blonde as a twentysomething than any other "something." So if you don't have anything nice to say, then just don't say anything at all!
