That being said, let me tell you about our long weekend.
We left on Wednesday evening and flew down to CA for Jaime's wedding. Thursday was full of wedding odds and ends. I made a trip with Jeff's mom and stepdad to pick up garden flowers to pot for wedding favors. Jeff, Tori, and I potted about 200 or so of those little flowers in less than an hour. We were pretty proud. That night we went to the temple and then California Pizza Kitchen for dinner afterwards. We were lucky enough to have both of Jeff's families and Ryan's family there for dinner. I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Pizza. Yum. Yum. Yum. I recommend it.
On Friday most of the girls went to the nail salon. It was fun to have so many of us there. After that Jeff and I ran errands with his Dad and then we took Jake to the Dodger game! We ate In N Out on the way to the baseball park since Dodgers dogs are $8 pop! Can you believe that?!?! But it was a great game against the Rockies, and the Dodgers won--kind of a surprise based on their season thus far.
Anyway, Saturday was Jaime and Ryan's big day. Everything was beautiful, and Jaime was radiant. I'm so glad that we were able to be there. My least favorite parts of the day? Tons of traffic leaving LA on a Saturday afternoon and four inch heels all day. Ouch!
We were also lucky enough to spend a small part of Mother's day with Jeff's mom and grandma. And we also celebrated Jeff's 24th birthday. I can't believe how OLD we're getting.
And in true Melanie form, I forgot our camera again. But Jaime's beautiful bridesmaids brought theirs, so thanks a bunch Annie and Sharyl!
Take a look!
This photo makes me really happy.
