Surprisingly so

So I'm kind of a weird-o. I'm not a morning person, and I'm not necessarily a night owl. I like to go to bed at a decent hour. I think the latest I've ever stayed up was about 4am and that was at a slumber party when I was in middle school. I'm not much about the "night-life" and I don't love to "boogie." I guess that maybe it would make sense for me to be a morning person, but I'm just not.

When I get ready for work in the morning, I take about twenty minutes, and I'm OTD (out the door). I know what needs to be done the night before, so I shower, plan what to wear, etc. I like to stay in bed until I can't afford to waste another minute. I don't know why I put myself in such a stressful situation, but that's what seems to work best for me.

The reason for this explanation is because Jeff and I have a break from school this week. On Tuesday, we'll start Spring semester. Personally, I don't think that a week break is quite long enough, but this week has been surprisingly relaxing. And also, being with Jeff 24/7 hasn't caused as many arguments as I had expected. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband, but I'm the type of girl who needs her space.

We've spent the week so far, sleeping in (we're really good at this and thus the reason for the aforementioned explanation), testing out the driving range (when it isn't covered in snow), trying a couple of new recipes, working out, watching movies (DO NOT watch the Box, it is ridiculous, and not in a good way--in a creepy, nonsensical way. Instead, read the short story Button, Button by Richard Matheson), cleaning, crafting, working on my USC orientation course, photo archiving, and just being together, even if we're both working on our computers (like we are now).

It's been a pretty nice little break so far. We hope this week is treating you just as well.

So nice to sleep until you are ready to get up! I hate getting up at 0530! Once I'm up, I'm good, but just the getting up is soooo hard! I also get up at the last possible moment and stress keeps me going too. Enjoy your rest this week. Hey I heard Dali is a good swimmer!
