It's not so bad, besides the thunder and hail storm I survived earlier this evening. Don't worry, everything is just fine.
I wanted to write a quick note. I needed a little break from grading midterms. I was just sitting here in my huge foam chair and thinking to myself "Man, I wonder what kind of fun my students are having on a hot Friday night while I sit here and grade their papers. Lucky ducks."
I guess I shouldn't begrudge them a good time, I rather be doling out the grades than receiving them. No, thanks.
So here's to a great weekend. And a shout out to my wonderful neighbors, the Hansens, and Kelsey for taking care of me and making sure that I don't get too lonely without Jeff this weekend.
And just for fun:
Me being upset with the midterm tests.

oh you are so very cute! Especially with the mad face!!
you are so cute! Is it nerdy that I think grading papers sounds fun??
yo yo melly-o! Wanna hear something embarrassing? I took one of Joe's grammar quizzes online and i made a 65%--how does that happen. I thought I was a grammar genius!? Guess not. It made me think of you and Joe said we should have you take the next one so we can compare answers!
Our thoughts & prayers are always with you. Remember that old poster of Jesus we had in Michigan; the one that says "you're never alone". I'm sorry you are lonely and that you are stuck doing your "homework", but that's life in the big leagues, professor.
Love ya, DAD!
You are so funny! I think that the line from Home Alone is one of my all-time favs!! It was fun hanging out with you, I am glad you made it through the weekend!
