I've been listening to her pretty much non-stop since I got home from Denver.
I told Jeff about my new musical crush, and he said,"That sounds like something you would really like." I like that my husband knows my taste in music. It's just one of those little things that lets me know that he's paying attention.
One of the most touching lyrics on the CD is from a song called "Cosmic Love" and it goes a little something like this:
I took the stars from your eyes, and then I made a map
And knew that somehow I could find my way back
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you
Poetic, huh? It's amazing how words can describe such deep, intense feelings. Words are amazing. There is no limit to what words can do. Uh oh, I'm a nerd. Oh wait, I like being that way.
Speaking of Nerdiness, I'm thinking I should dress up for Halloween this year. I am not cool, so I don't have any parties to go to or anything, but I do perform for, I mean teach, over fifty students three times a week. I'm getting excited while I brainstorm something unique and not too crazy. I don't care if my students see me, I'm just worried about the people who will see me park my car and walk onto campus. They might try wrapping me in a strait jacket or something. Let's hope not!
