Dear Blog

Dear Blog,
Sometimes, I wish you would write back, but you never do. All you ever do is take. But I suppose that a blog is sort of like a journal, a space where you share thoughts, ideas, and goings-on. Like for instance, I just looked up and saw that it is furiously snowing outside. And I wanted to share that information with you, Blog. I want you to know what's going on in my life. I guess I'll just have to accept you as a silent, non-judgemental friend.

Some other things that I wanted to share with you, Blog, are these:

First off, I NEED this dress. Really, really bad. Jaime is getting married this year, probably late April/ early May, and I need something to wear to the reception. This will do perfectly.

Also, I wish I had one of these in my house:

Leaving the house during a Rexburg winter is pretty much the least desirable thing I can think of. If I had one of these, I would only leave the house for three reasons:

1. To bring home the bacon a.k.a. go to work!

2. To replenish our cupboards and refrigerator

3. To check the mail (not that I like to get bills, I just like when netflix comes in)

oh, and a close fourth, maybe we could leave every once in a while to visit with our awesome friends! We only have four, keep in mind...Cory and Kelsey and Bobby and Lindsey, of course!

Dang it, I forgot about church. I guess we'll leave for that too. Someone needs to entertain the nursey kids! Okay, so maybe not for only three reasons ;)

Another thing that I would like to share with you is that I have completed my first sewing project for my clothing construction class and here she is:

This is the pillowcase that I made at school. I'm pretty excited about it. We were required to make a pillowcase with a trim and a hem. I think it turned out pretty well. But instead of making another matching one for Jeff, I think I would just like to use the same fabric to make a couple of shams and eventually a bedskirt. I LOVE this fabric. We only have solids on our bed and this patterned fabric is fun and classic, just ask potterybarn.

And here are some updates on Dali. We had a little photo shoot this morning. This was the first one in the series. Doesn't she look guilty for something? And the second photo shows one of Dali's common poses. She just looks at the ceiling for moments at a time in her own reverie. What a weirdo!

And now, so long Dear Blog. I'll be seeing ya.
