Sprucin' up the joint

After living here in our first apartment for over six months, I'm starting to feel like "Okay, we've been here this long already, might as well make it 'home.'" Since we're looking at another two years of Rexburg and not anticipating a move anytime soon (some couples here move more than once. WHY? I have no idea), I will focus my attention on bringing some personality to our small space.

Here's a little taste of what I'm trying to accomplish. This may seem either ghetto or very exclusive of others but let me first explain. We have windows over our front door which is nice because it lets the sun in, but not great it you are trying to make it from the bathroom to the bedroom in your towel. Needless to say, we need a little privacy and this quick solution will ensure that. Jeff and I went to the local craft store and picked out two sheets of scrapbooking paper, and I made little templates to create the final product. I love green and have used it as an accent in our living room and kitchen, so I am very happy with how it looks. I love decorating and think I will try to take a couple of interior design classes while I'm still here at school. Technically the ID classes are exclusive to ID majors...we'll see about that.

I can't wait to see more pictures as you decorate. It takes a while to find the time, desire and money to do it but i am sure it will be worth it!

ok i just saw your comment from twitter about food at the theater---once, joe and derrick took emma and presley to the movies and brought boneless wings. WOW.

Yeah, so we look to our left and there was this couple just eating out of their chinese food boxes. They had like three! And then the elderly couple in front of us (who actually came in about ten minutes late) starts unwrapping their Taco Bell. I was in shock. I could see maybe a Jamba maybe, but yeah, wow.
